DAY FIVE - Ward Christmas Party

Our ward pulled off one of the most amazing Christmas programs I've ever attended! The theme was set in the times of Bethlehem and John was more than happy to play the part of a Roman Soldier. The rest of us dressed up wearing things they had for people to use for the evening in their "Taylor Shop." Robes, long shirts, shawls - it was a lot of fun dressing up as a family. In the very beginning of the program, we all met in the chapel and watched the movie slide Reflections of Christ by Mark Mabry. Such a touching and awesome video. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you clicking on the above link (Reflections of Christ) and watching it. The pictures and music are very touching! After the video ended, we walked into the cultural hall and was blown away by how awesome everything looked! It was set up with vendors along the sides and we used our coins (that we collected when we signed the census upon arrival) to buy food and drinks with as well as some fun games for the kids. There was an Inn set up for those that wished to sit in seats and others brought blankets to sit on the floor. Andrew got sick towards the end of the evening due to his cold. Poor little guy. But other than that, we were so glad that prayers were answered and the snow storm died down enough for us all to show up for the evening's festivities! Here are some pictures from the event. . .
