John received word today FINALLY...he's been accepted into the Officer Candidate program - starting this January. It's a 10 week intense training course to become an Officer in the Marine Corps. Great timing, I know. But that's the military for ya. Or life in general. Either way. I've been really exhausted lately (gee, I wonder why!) so I don't have much energy to spend to type more but I will be back to update on this topic soon. All I can say is that many changes are in store for our little family. That basically sums it up at this point. But I'm really excited for him and super proud of his hard work to get into this program. "Great job sweetie!"

Yahooo! Congrats, you guys! We are so happy for you!
We are so happy for you. Looked through the site and "ooooooooooohhh" "aaaaaaaaahhh" "loooook" were the most consistent comments. The girls are adorable, you've gotten cuter, and even John (Marines notwithstanding)is looking pretty adorable, himself. The family misses you so much and we want you to know how deeply and truly loved you are. Give kisses to the girls, sing a lullaby to Andrew for us, and keep some of the good stuff for yourselves. Have a Merry Christmas, a smooth delivery, and a prosperous New Year. Love, Love, Love.
Wow wow wow! An Officer! That is such brilliant news - well done John, we know that means hard work, these things don't just happen. We are so proud of you and happy for your new opportunity!
Congratulations, you guys!!
That's exciting news! I had the same timing with my third baby, when Ralph went to a 10 week training 4 days after she was born. You're right, that's the military for you. Otherwise, it's a wonderful life though.
