Today was Aubrey's last day of school. 4th grade is officially over!
It's hard to believe that my baby (the one who first gave me the title "MOM") is going to be in the 5th grade next year! And then on to middle school? Wow! How is this even possible???
The kids and I met her off the school bus. Her bus driver was choking on tears (as she does every last day of school) and gave not only Aubrey a freeze pop, but one to Jocelyn too. :) It made the 90 degree pick-up well worth it! (And Jocelyn shared some of her orange popsicle with Andrew - maybe not so willingly but it's nice to share and not leave your sibling out, right?)

To celebrate, we all took Aubrey out for dinner. Red Robin was tempting, but we always seem to go there so Mimi's Cafe was the place.
Summer break seems to be a love/hate relationship for me (and all those under our roof)!
* We love getting a break...but look forward to a schedule.
* We love getting out and seeing new places...but Aubrey LOVES school so it's hard not being there.
* I love enlisting my little helpers for a short time each day to help me organize and clean (but they don't!) and then give them LOTS of free time to have fun.
* It's already in the the 90's and very humid - and June barely started. We're in trouble! But it'll be nice to have my Aubreykins home and around more often than when she's off to school so I'm going to enjoy it all I can!
I'll keep you up to date on how we're doing and what we've been up to over the break.

She is just gorgeous... my gosh! I cant believe she is going into 5th grade, I remember when you were pregnant with her... crazy!!!!
Thanks Lesa. It seems like just yesterday that I was pregnant with her - really! The time sure has gone quickly but it's been fun! Another 5 years and she'll be in high school. AGH!!!! (scary!) :)
