First of all, we are SO proud of Aubrey! She made it to Honor Roll in school for the 2nd grading period - making it the second grading period in a row that she has been on the Honor Roll. All A's! She absolutely LOVES school and does really well! :)
Her classroom Valentine's party was pushed to today, the 19th, as with the previous two weeks we had snow (and no school!) which made it impossible to have it before Valentine's Day. They also had a Poetry Cafe before hand. All parents were invited to come for the event. (And bring treats of course!)
As volunteering in her class is still impossible with the two little ones at home with me, I take these opportunities to come visit her classroom any chance I can get! So I made plans to go and listen to them read their poems with Jocelyn and Andrew in tow. But last minute, John made it home only having worked half a day so I decided that he could spend some one on one time with his little boy and I could take Jocelyn and it could be a mommy/daughter fun time. And it was! Aubrey was giddy and happy to have us there. She helped Jocelyn feel comfortable and shared some of her Valentine treats with her. What a nice sissy! (Jocelyn calls her that sometimes - not in the mean "sissy" way!) Aubrey read her poem in the front of her class and did awesome . I'm so glad I was able to spend some fun time with her at school. Of course part of that fun was watching all of the kids in her class bouncing off the walls from all of their sugary treats! :) Aaahhh...grade school memories!

Way to go, Aubrey! That's so cute that they did a Poetry Cafe and that you got to go spend time with your girls there! So fun!
It definitely was a fun party for the kids and I'm so glad I was able to go! It seems like only yesterday we were in school doing the same fun things! :)
