My friend Sydney was back home on her Winter break from college and so I asked her if she'd be available to take some pictures of Andrew for his FIRST birthday photos. I wanted to have his photos taken outside of the usual JC Penney Studio and she was happy to do so! And I was happy she was able to! We thought we might as well get some family pictures taken while we were at it. I picked a local place outside to have our photo shoot done at. I had heard that Chatham Manor was a pretty place and I had never been there before so I thought "why not?" The place goes back to the Civil War and was once used as a military hospital during the battle. Lots of history!
So the morning after Christmas was our photo shoot appointment. It was misty out and snow still covered the ground from a recent snow storm. (We finally had a WHITE Christmas!) It was tempting to find an indoor area but we chanced it and went with our original plans. Frizzy hair, whiny kids at times and goose bumps was totally worth having them taken outdoors. I love how the pictures of our family turned out and I'm so glad she was willing to take them for us. "Thank you again Sydney!" I am definitely going back there with the kids when it's warmer out and the gardens have bloomed! More photo opportunities! :)
{P.S. I'll be posting a few more of Andrew's one year pictures on here after I mail them out to family!}

{I love this picture of John and I. I don't know what on EARTH possessed me to wear a short sleeve shirt on a cold & wet (& snowy) winter day? It was freezing! Guess I liked my shirt enough to go cold for an hour. In case you haven't heard: women do these things for fashion sometimes! :) I think I'll be a little more wise next time and find a warmer shirt!}
