friends + treats = fun things

the perfect afternoon. february and warm and sunny for a change but more than welcomed. a friend calls for aubrey's company. homework is finally done. piled the kids into the truck and drove aubrey to friends house just in time to expel her bottled up energy. jocelyn begging a hundred times where we were going. the look of disappointment sheds on her face once she hears that big sis is leaving her presence for a few short hours. hugs and kisses given. jocelyn sad that she can't stay and play. no time to waste. every single minute counts. back on the road to the next stop: sonic. our onceinabluemoon treat. and yes i do mean onceinabluemoon if i still want to shed the rest of the baby pounds i accumulated with andrew. but jocelyn and mommy time was in order. once back home we dove into our treats. mmm. and they were heavenly! again - the perfect afternoon.
