Our Rainy Day Fun

Instead of being stuck inside the house while it rained, we decided to go out and check one of the new local bookstores that opened a week ago called Joseph-Beth Booksellers. If I had to compare it to Borders or Barnes and Noble, I would say that while it has books, it has more toys, gifts, stuffed animals, and Vera Bradley products than it does music and movies. But it was nice.

I found Aubrey down an isle reading...

And Jocelyn was collecting books she wanted us to buy her (but didn't)...

And Andrew? He only wanted to play in the ball pin. When I saw him here, I found it odd that he was up so high and when I went around the corner to get a better view of why that would be...

THIS is what I found! Ha! :) How clever to use a nearby step stool!

After 2 trips to take Jocelyn to the restroom, a few attempts to stop her from throwing rocks at the glass waterfall and running in circles trying to keep up with Andrew - we decided before we left, to treat them each to one book.

For dinner, we surprised the kids and stopped off at Red Robin. John and I shared a salad this time as they are MONSTEROUS for one of us usually. We had the Fajita Fiesta Pollo Salad, Aubrey had a cheese pizza, Jocelyn had a grilled cheese sandwich, and Andrew had spaghetti. And Freckled Lemonade's for all of us, except Andrew. He was happy and content with his orange juice. :) No balloons this time as we were leaving. We heard a few "ahhhhhhh!" from the kids but thankfully, that was it. An occasional balloon is nice. But one everytime will put their mama (& possibly daddy) over the edge with all the fighting, etc. balloon fun brings. It was a nice evening all around!

And we were even surprised with a Red Robin appearance! Andrew...not such a fan!

But Jocelyn? She willingly walked down to the end of our table and let me take their picture! I was shocked! She's definitely coming out of her shell.
