A Man Of Great Worth!

President Gordon B. Hinckley (Prophet of the church) passed away Sunday night at the age of 97. I want to share this special tribute made in his honor that I found posted on Heather's blog.

He will always be a special influence in my life and someone I hold dear to my heart. He did so many wonderful and positive things in his life and he will be greatly missed and loved by many all around the world (both in and out of the church)! But now, he can join his sweet wife Marjorie and what a happy thought and feeling that is---to have the opportunity to be with your family again!

Free Kraft Food & Family Magazine

I just recently received my Winter 2008 Kraft Food & Family magazine in the mail and was not disappointed with ANY of the recipes they had listed cover to cover. And in addition, it includes many serving ideas (kids lunches, etc). I hightly recommend this magazine! They share the best stuff in these magazines 4 times a year and guess what? It's FREE!! Click here to sign up to receive your own. I am one who hates junk mail so to rest your worries, they do NOT sell your information to other companies! This magazine is far from junk and it always brings a smile to my face when I receive it so try it out if you're someone who wants to try some new and great tasting recipes. Quick and easy recipes too might I add. I would feel bad if I found something like this I really enjoyed and didn't share it with others. Just a side note...it takes 8-10 weeks from sign up to receive the first issue. Very much worth the wait though! :) You won't be disappointed!!

What The Girls Do Best!

Aubrey and Jocelyn have been doing a lot of playing together. Whether it's freezing outside or not, these two LOVE to play! Trust me...being stuck inside doesn't stop them!! :) I found a new photo editing program so I played around with the pictures a bit. Hope you enjoy them.

HUGS!

Jocelyn has learned how to give us all HUGS recently and has been extra snuggly. I just love watching my girls learn and grow everyday. Here is a picture of them: Jocelyn is giving Aubrey a hug before she left for school. How sweet is that?! :)

Could This Be The New Candy?

I was sitting at the doctors office yesterday waiting for my appointment. I was trying to entertain Jocelyn for a good 20-30 minutes when I overheard a conversation (they weren't very quiet about it so I heard with no problems and no intention of listening!)

Let me give you a description first and then I'll give you the dialog. A man walked out of his appointment and had a seat in the waiting room. 10-15 minutes later, his wife and toddler came out of their appointment. She walked up to him and this is their conversation:

WIFE: The doctor gave you a prescription?
HUSBAND: No, I have orders for an xray.
WIFE: How did you get that?
HUSBAND: I asked the doctor for it!
WIFE: That's not fair! I want one.
HUSBAND: Then go ask the doctor for one...

candy

Now, I didn't hear anything else being said but I'm truly shocked at how people want prescriptions and xray orders like it's something to crave and drool over! I was joking with John about this last night when I told him this story but could this be the new candy??? Kidding of course. I understand that people really do NEED these things...but WANT them is a different story. There are just some things I will never understand---THIS would be one of them!!

Brrr!

It sure is COLD out there! And it's apparently no different in Oregon either. Here's a clip of what Multnomah Falls looked like yesterday:
