A Day At The Park

These pictures of our girls at the park were taken on Monday, November 5th. Sorry to those that I told you I'd post them earlier on but never had the chance until now. Too much going on all at once. Anyways. The girls had so much fun going back to this park/ playground down the street from our house. It was about 65 degrees outside so it was perfect to go out and play. (Sometimes Aubrey gets so much energy wrapped up in her that being cooped up in the house is not a good thing for her so I find somewhere outside to play if the weather cooperates.) This trip to the park was Jocelyn's first time loving the swing. Jocelyn had so much fun and Aubrey enjoyed being the "big sister" and helped to push her. They are so cute together! I decided to put up most of the pictures from this trip to the park that I had of the girls because I was having a hard time picking and choosing---Enjoy!!! :)

Sisters & Best Friends

This was the first of me pushing her on the swing. She actually let me this time. All the others were of her screaming as soon as I put her in the bucket. Her facial expression is priceless: I think this is when she was starring at the ground as she moved back and forth.

Hanging out!

Having fun with mommy.

It's....BATH time!

Jocelyn had a lot of fun in the bath a few nights back that I just HAD to grab the camera and take a few pictures. Ever since we took her infant tub away and gave her full rein of the bathtub, she's been splashing, scooting, standing, giggling---you name it--- all over the place. What a funny, sweet girl she is! Always ALWAYS keeping us on our toes.

Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary (LATE post!)

John and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary on October 21st 2007!! We both have not been too good about getting out on dates since Jocelyn was born 1 year ago, but our great friends from the ward kindly took the girls for us the Saturday before our anniversary so we could go out alone for a few hours. Low and behold, we were sharing our night of fun with the town's homecoming night so every restaurant in the area was jam packed and had a wait list of an hour or longer. We drove over by the mall and regardless of the huge crowd waiting outside of The Olive Garden, we strolled in anyways and put our name on the list. (Not that the restaurant was a bad pick but I was honestly getting tired of driving around trying to find a restaurant that would be able to seat us in a short amount of time.) 1 hour and 15 minutes they said we'd have to wait for a table. A short time later, I noticed many tables outside unoccupied and asked if there was a wait for them. She said no and I said WE'LL TAKE IT! :) It was really nice to spend some time together without the kids in tow. Which doesn't happen as often as we'd like but we're forever thankful for our family! Check out what he surprised me with---an anniversary present to us from our girls! Isn't that so sweet??? The bowl is just beautiful and I can't wait to put their little handprints up on display. I love it! And him of course! :)

Aubrey's 2nd grade class party

October 31, 2007 - Happy Halloween!!!
Aubrey's 2nd grade classroom had a Halloween party Wednesday and I volunteered to come and help set the room up. Jocelyn had fun seeing her big sister during the day and all the kids in her class. Aubrey was just as excited to have her little sister there with her. Besides falling earlier in the day on her knees in the hall (those dang shoe laces!!) she had such a great time decorating a cookie, making her popcorn hand, and playing "apple bob" games! I was so glad I was able to join in on her afternoon of fun. :)

Saturday Drive

We were on our way to the store today and as John drove, I turned and looked behind me in the back seat at the girls. Today was a sunny but cool day here---no rain for the first time in 3 days so we had the windows down a bit. With the wind blowing through their hair, they were giggling and having fun. I grabbed my camera and took a picture of each of the girls. It was one of those "mommy moments" when you notice them looking a little older and wanting to capture the moments while you can. I love them so much. Are you sure they can't stay this little forever? :( Sometimes I wish---and other times (MOST times) I know that life wouldn't be so wonderful if they didn't continue growing. Families are precious and such a blessing!

Trunk-or-Treat 2007

We had our ward's Trunk-or-Treat up at the church tonight. With it raining (more like pooring!) these past few days nonstop, they decided to hold the trunk-or-treating in the building. There was atleast 30-40 kids there. We had a potato bar dinner before hand that was excellent and so many people showed up for the event so it was a lot of fun! Aubrey dressed up as a cat and Jocelyn dressed up as a bee. Some other costumes I saw were: a skunk, clown, spider, dragon, angel, and a bunch of miscellanious (blown up balloons taped to someone's clothes, blue hair wig, etc). The gym the event was held in didn't have good lighting on the stage so some of the pictures didn't turn out well but here's a few that did...

Jocelyn dressed up as a bumble bee. Not that she had much of a choice, right? I thought she was really cute though. She did well with the costume and surprised both John and I that she wore the headband throughout the whole event without any problems. HEY! I'll enjoy that as long as I can thank you very much. I'm sure it won't last long.

Aubrey dressed up as a cat again this year (minus the cat ears that we lost through a cross country move). She dressed up as a cat last year but with us being on a tight budget right now, this seemed to work out well. "We promise Aubrey...you'll be something different next year!" :)

Sisters!!

Here is Jocelyn and my visiting teaching partner/friend that dressed up as a spider. Aren't they cute? A spider and a bee!!

I know you can't see the girls too well in the photo but they're dead center. If you want to see them a little closer just click on the photo.
